Three of the same thing!

We had a great time at the shower thrown by Laurian's work crowd, joined from Phoenix by the proud Grandma and Great-Grandma-to-be, visiting all the way from Phoenix. We got three of the same gift! and plenty of things we have no idea how to use!

Mark & Andrea's SoCal Trip

We hosted Mark and Andrea last week and thoroughly enjoyed their quick visit....Olivia is still talking about it...Best of luck to Mark and his academic pursuits and it was wonderful knowing Andrea caught some great Cali weather on a long overdue vacation...S&B

We all (Shaz taking the pic) had a wonderful weeknd in DC...with Tal receiving good news from the Doc and a new pair of glasses. She looks like a million and Tal is as cute and funny and lovable as ever.

"I Dropped A Raisin"

With this the verbal floodgates were opened and what used to be two people carrying on a conversation has now become three in the Averill household. Olivia's first full sentence (correct tense and all) came crashing into the front seat as we were making our way back to LA last week...as well as "Oh Shit" repeated after I exclaimed the same upon missing our exit...

We have entered into the netherworld of parental spelling and code language for anything with sugar from which we may not escape for the next --- years as Averill 2.0 is set to be released in January. And it's aaaall gooood.....

A caveat...this will not necessarily become the boring blog of boastful parents although we do hope to capture a few milestones here and there...

Also as to the misspellling of Shalom Yaall, Shalom Y'all was already taken...Steve

Something to consider when meeting Jon...

Don't shake hands with him...

One of these girls did not drink her shot...

Apparently, hanging out with me drives women to drink.
Please note Jacks' horrified expression...

A Night with Bono

Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and endorsed by the LA Times to head up The World Bank (and they weren't kidding) this guy also sings a little. U2 was in town Wednesday night and Belinda (at 29 weeks in all her glory) and I made sure to sign Rich up for the End World Poverty Campaign before watching the boys play for close to 3 hours. With Arnold on the way down there is a push to make The Edge California's next governor...

Happy Couple - The Countdown Begins...

Don't these look like proud parents to be?

Can't wait for the new Taub arrival!

Puppies!

Here is a test post from Mark. You'll be happy to know that we do indeed have internet access in Canada. I don't have many images on my computer, and we don't have any cute babies or pregnant women, so here is a picture of our dog Luna as a puppy. You can't go wrong with puppies...

Phil's New Toy

Congrats to Phil and Julie and Ben and Danni on their new truck! If they lived in SoCal they could all jump in and motor along at 10 mph on the 405 in 7 lanes of traffic...

But the Taubs live in New Hampshire and in New Hampshire the reason you get a truck is to make the weekend pilgrimage to the mecca of all hearty New Englanders...the Dump.

Enjoy your new ride...go Pats!
